Park for Free in Rockland, Now Through December!

   Local shop owners Patti Aagaard, of Reality Bites Café, and Marie Somos, of Somos Designer Jewelry Gallery, organized the promotion. After talking with local shoppers, the two women noticed the need for late night shopping opportunities in Nyack, and decided to do something about it. "We felt this was a perfect opportunity to bring back the Thursday night late shopping experience we all grew up with," says Somos. "Years ago, Thursday night was the one night stores stayed open late, so people who worked could do their shopping." Somos and Aagaard appealed to the Village Board, who approved of the plan. More than 35 other local merchants have joined them as sponsors of the event.
