Equestrian Center in Rockland Available for Birthday Parties Year-Round

Camp Venture Equestrian Center now offers birthday parties for the public year-round, utilizing the indoor riding center.

Camp Venture Equestrian Center in Stony Point is a nonprofit organization that serves families of children with special needs in Rockland County. The Equestrian Program offers therapeutic riding and riding lessons for children and adults with and without special needs.

Camp Venture Equestrian Center hosts birthday parties for the general public throughout the year. The sheep, goats, and miniature horses on its small animal farm love to be part of the party. The indoor riding center can be used for year-round parties.

The money raised by the birthday parties allow for more funds to go toward Camp Venture Equestrian Center. The money raised helps the organization create more lessons and improve the current ones, allowing it to continue serving local Rockland County families.

Through the Camp Venture Equestrian Program, riding lessons are available for children 5 and older. The 30-minute sessions are held once a week for a five-week period. Camp Director Ken Freson says these lessons can provide a type of animal therapy for the individual.

Camp Venture Equestrian Center has 28 years of experience behind it. The camp has served many adults and children with and without special needs, and the professional staff is trained to give each individual the care they need.
