Self-Guided Corn Maze

Surrounded by the changing leaves in the Adirondack Mountains and set on the shores of Lake Champlain, Fort Ticonderoga is a popular destination in the fall. Their 6-acre Heroic Corn Maze is available to conquer now through October 27th. They have a NEW design this year and every year, making it a great family tradition. Guests will answer history clues as they make their way through the maze.

Daily Boat Cruises

Vermont's Green Mountains and New York's Adirondacks are on full display when you embark on the narrated boat cruise on the Carillon. Through sonar readings, you'll even get a glimpse of submerged shipwrecks and other fascinating historical elements beneath Lake Champlain's surface. While onboard, enhance your experience with a variety of beverages, including beer, wine, soft drinks, and water, along with snacks that are available for purchase. Tours are offered daily Tuesday-Sunday, but can book up fast, so it's recommended to reserve your tickets in advance.

Mount Defiance Foliage Views

For the ultimate fall foliage view, Mount Defiance provides an unforgettable birds-eye view of one of the country's most historic landscapes. Embrace the essence of fall by embarking on a journey to Mount Defiance either by foot or vehicle, where history and nature intertwine to create a captivating experience. As the vibrant foliage sets the scene, indulge in a leisurely lunch at the mountain's pinnacle, surrounded by picnic tables that invite relaxation and reflection. September 14th-15th: Epic Battle Reenactment - 1777 Brown's Raid

Join Fort Ticonderoga for an exciting two-day battle re-enactment highlighting the epic 1777 Brown's Raid with different experiences each day. An attack led by patriot Colonel John Brown will take British troops garrisoning Fort Ticonderoga by surprise 247 years later during the upcoming real-life action adventure at Fort Ticonderoga. October 5th: Family Favorite Event - Heritage, Harvest, & Horse Festival

Experience the Annual Heritage, Harvest, & Horse Festival at Fort Ticonderoga on October 5th, 2024. Visitors can enjoy activities such as meeting the friendly oxen duo Mick and Mack, exploring the Heroic Corn Maze, experiencing horse-drawn wagon rides, indulging in local food and beverages at the farmers' market, and more. This family-friendly festival is combined with ongoing daily programs, making it a great fall tradition for all ages.

Fall is an amazing time of the year to visit the Adirondacks and Fort Ticonderoga! 

Fort Ticonderoga and Mount Defiance are open for visitation Tuesday through Sunday, May 4th- October 27th, 2024, from 9:30 am until 5:00 pm (last ticket sold at 4:30 pm). Fort Ticonderago encourages visitors to purchase tickets in advance online, though they can also be purchased at the front gate. Remember, general admission tickets are buy one, visit the next day FREE.
