Community Jewish Center Adds Full-Day Early Childhood Program

JCC Rockland recently announced a full-day early childhood program that it plans to offer beginning in the fall. The early childhood program is now accepting applications. Enrolled children learn Jewish values through a whole-child approach to teaching.

In the fall, JCC Rockland—a center created for the Jewish community, offers an array of programs, all focused on the celebration of Jewish heritage—plans to add a full-day early childhood program to its menu of physical, recreational, and creative programs founded on Jewish values.

The Deborah Koenig Early Childhood Center’s new program is JCC Rockland’s first full-day early childhood program, which will run 7am-6:30pm. The program is now accepting applications for the fall opening.

The program will be an extension of the Jewish values that JCC Rockland promotes. Certified staff will take a “whole child” approach, teaching the children social, emotional, physical, and cultural tactics with the most up-to-date teaching trends and developments.

“We are truly unique in that we are full-day, we have certified teachers, an amazing facility, Jewish programming, and much more,” says Eliza Millman, chief operating officer at JCC Rockland.

With the inaugural year, the 12-month-long early childhood program will only have 20 spots available. Once the program has been established, JCC Rockland plans to offer more classes for children ages 1 to pre-K. Visit JCC Rockland's website for an application.
