My Sweet Pea, a children and infant boutique, recently moved to a new location in New City. The store also now offers arts and crafts and cake decorating classes, as well as birthday parties.

My Sweet Pea children's boutique
My Sweet Pea offers a variety of infant and toddler clothing, as well as accessories and room décor.

In late August, My Sweet Pea opened its new location in the Dunkin’ Donuts/Carvel Shopping Center in New City. My Sweet Pea is a baby and toddler boutique that aims to offer unique items that are not sold anywhere else in the area.

The boutique offers everything needed for children in their early years, including christening, baptism, and bris gowns, clothing for infants through size 4T, Halloween costumes, specialized birthday outfits, hair accessories, blankets, furniture, and take-me-home outfits. My Sweet Pea will also custom embroider blankets and towels and customized room décor, and offers baby registries for expecting parents. Other items include mommy and me matching winter jackets, daddy and me matching dress shirts, and gifts for grandparents, godparents, aunts, and uncles.

My Sweet Pea is also going to begin offering arts and crafts classes and birthday parties within the next month. Classes currently include small crafts, large crafts such as wall murals, and cake decorating with Kate Reinertsen, a certified Wilton Method Instructor. Owner Sheri Chablis says she hopes to also offer knitting in the near future. Birthday parties are for ages 1-14 and party attendees will do an arts and crafts project or learn to decorate a cake. Parties are for up to 20 children.

My Sweet Pea is open Sunday from 11am-4pm, Monday-Wednesday and Friday-Saturday from 10am-6pm, and Thursday from 10am-8pm. Chablis says she is also willing to make after-hour appointments with customers.
