A Nutella Cafe is Coming to NYC

A Nutella Cafe is Coming to NYC

Calling all Nutella nuts!

By the end of the year, Ferrero, the confectionery company that makes the ever-popular Nutella Hazelnut Spread, will be opening a permanent Nutella Cafe at 13th Street and University Place near Union Square, according to a press release. The cafe will have a Nutella-inspired menu featuring a variety of unique dishes and specialty espresso beverages.

The first Nutella Cafe opened May of last year in Chicago. New Yorkers will have the opportunity to savor their favorite traditional treats including cookie sandwiches, crepes, and pastries, but with a Nutella-inspired twist. The full menu for the Nutella Cafe is not yet available, but updates can be found by visiting the Nutella USA Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.

The Nutella Cafe NYC will be one of only two standalone restaurants operated by Ferrero. While there have been multiple Nutella pop-up cafes and bars, the NYC location will be New York's first permanent Nutella-inspired eatery.

"Its the fans' excitement about Nutella Cafe Chicago that propelled us to open another Nutella Cafe and continue to showcase the uniqueness and versatility of this beloved product," said Rick Fossali, vice president of operations of Nutella Cafe, in a press release. "As a multicultural epi-center, New York gives us the opportunity to explore and offer new ways for our local fans to enjoy Nutella, while reaching millions of tourists visiting the city."

The mouthwatering hazelnut and cocoa spread was developed in 1946 in Italy. Today, Nutella is available in approximately 160 countries globally.
