Romp n' Roll in Orangeburg Introduces New Classes in February

This February, Romp n Roll in Orangeburg will be offering two new classes: Silly Science and Crayons to Canvas. Both classes are one-hour long and are geared toward children ages 3-5.

The Silly Science class focuses on introducing children to basic scientific concepts through experiments and hands-on activities. Themes introduced will be talked about all week and tied into other activities in an interdisciplinary way. Children are also introduced to the scientific method and are encouraged to draw their own conclusions from the experiments. Sample experiments include changing milk into ice cream and making homemade fossils.

In Crayons to Canvas, children will learn about the work of iconic artists including Van Gogh, Picasso, and Jackson Pollock. After being inspired by the work of the artists, kids can create their own masterpieces mimicking the style and mediums. They’ll explore different art implements and important art concepts like texture and abstraction. In this class, messiness is encouraged in a safe, fun environment.

Romp N’ Roll is located at 28-29 Orangetown Shopping Center, Orangeburg. For more information visit the Romp n Roll website or call 845-580-9065. Romp N’ Roll is open daily from 9am-7pm.
