Sherri Alpert, D.M.D. Receives Implant Certification

Sherri Alpert, D.M.D., owner of Dental Wellness of Suffern, received official certification for dental implants in August. With this certification, Dr. Alpert can give dental implants to adults who need them. She also recently became a fellow in the international congress of oral implantologists. 

Dr. Alpert describes Dental Wellness of Suffern, which has been open for a decade, as a dental office that offers an emotionally supportive and non-stressful environment for kids and their families. She says she intends to give kids a great first dental experience with comforting aspects such as a kid’s room and indoor mural painted by all first year patients. Dr. Alpert  has also written children’s books to prepare kids for their first time dentist visits and has invested in the Solea Dental Laser so that fillings can be done without a drill and without needles. 

Dr. Alpert said she feels her dental business is like no other because of its emotionally supportive environment. 

“Everyone’s a person, not a number,” she said. “We treat the individual, and we’re very careful about not producing emotional trauma at the dentist but making it fun and a nice place where people want to be, and we educate kids and their parents on how to take good care of their teeth for prevention so that they don’t need the bigger, more specialized work, however if they need it, we do it in a stress-free environment.”
