Come on down to Wild West City - a western heritage theme park recreating 1880's life in Dodge City, Kansas!
There's never been a better time to head on over to Wild West City. This season marks our 61st year and we have a number of special events and shows that are sure to be hits with the entire family.
WILD WEST CITY is a western heritage theme park that brings the old west back to life through portrayals of real-life western characters, legendary events and a frontier town re-creation. Featuring twenty-two (22) different live action shows throughout the course of the day, Wild West City offers the visitor the chance to “live” in the old west!
In addition to the shows, we offer a 24-gauge miniature train ride, stagecoach and pony rides. Guests can browse our shops and museums along Main Street, visit and talk with our many knowledgeable townsfolk portraying early western life as historic figures or trades people, pan for gold, visit our barnyard zoo or play miniature golf. Our Chapel is quietly nestled beyond the town alongside our authentic 1880’s Schoolhouse.
A large picnic grove is available or you may purchase refreshments at the Silver Dollar Saloon, Franks Pizza or at the Golden Nugget Saloon. You can also enjoy live western music at the Golden Nugget Saloon each day. In addition to our regular programs, a variety of weekend special events are planned throughout the season.
Family owned and operated, we extend a cordial invitation. Come experience an atmosphere of true western hospitality at a reasonable cost. (additional savings with coupon below)

Wild West City Educational Programs
When it's time to study American history during the 1860's to 1900, it's time to bring the class to Wild West City. We offer two programs designed to maximize the learning experience by giving the students a day in Dodge City, circa 1880.
Students will be immersed in the sights, sounds, smells and feel of the Old West as our knowledgeable staff recreates life from days gone by. Choose the program that matches your students' curriculum and be prepared for the day they'll remember for years to come!
American Western Heritage Program. Program is modeled after our traditional program of events with an emphasis on famous images and characters.
Going West: Oregon Trail Program. Emphasis is on living history. This program offers a new and interesting look at everyday life in the nineteenth-century American West and shifts focus to the ordinary experience of common people, such as cowboys, tradesmen, and pioneers.
