    Free Summer Outdoor Concerts in Rockland

    Check out these free outdoor summer concert series in Rockland County, NY, hosted by Clarkstown, Nyack, Stony Point, and Suffern in July and August. Each offers a variety of bands playing family-friendly music ranging from oldies to rock to country. Bring a picnic, a blanket or some low chairs (where permitted), and your whole family to enjoy the sounds of summer music on the open air. Stop by the concert nearest you, or hop over to the next town to check out who's performing.

    Family Music Festivals take place on select Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays through Aug. 1 at locations in Congers and West Nyack. Concerts start at 7:30pm.

    July 11: Motown, R&B, and pop hits by FDR Drive

    July 12: Jazz music by the Richard Reiter Swing Band

    July 17: Country music by Jason Casterlin & The Tall Boys

    July 18: Oldies by Rave On

    July 25: Rock music by Kick Start Charlie

    July 26: Jazz and blues by the Burr Johnson Band

    July 31: Country, rock, and pop music by Tracy Delucia

    Aug. 1: Rock music by the Larry Stevens Band

     

     

    Nyack

    Hopper House Art Center hosts Music in the Garden, a family-friendly jazz concert series, on Thursdays at 7:30pm, July 5 through Aug. 2.

    July 5: Lynn Stein & Friends



    July 12: The Little Big Band

    July 19: Peter Furlan Project

    July 26: Dick Voigt's Big Apple Jazz Band

    Aug. 2: Richard Sussman Quintet

     

    Stony Point

    Concerts take place most Wednesdays, June 27 through Aug. 22, at Riverfront Park. Performances start at 6:30pm.

    June 27: Special kids' show by My. Kurt

    July 11: Beauty and the Grease

    July 25: Jennifer Grace Band

    Aug. 1: In the Pocket

    Aug. 8: Rick, Stick, and Stache

    Aug. 15: Eddie Courtney

    Aug. 22: Soulmates

     

    Suffern

    Concerts on select dates in July at Avon Park Gazebo. Shows start at 7pm.

    July 12: Reflections

    July 18: The Kootz Band

    July 25: Wayne Cobham & Cobham's Coalition

    July 30: Special kids' show by Kurt Gallagher
