Summer Fun in the Great Outdoors
Celebrate the longest day of the year at a Summer Solstice Nature Program at the Bear Mountain State Park's Trailside Museum. Pet Parade
Bring your dog and join in a parade for prizes at the third annual Pet Parade, in Hillburn. Vendors will be on hand to share their products and services for pets. Nature Quests
Hikers can uncover the treasures of nature on a Discovery Quest, following nearly two miles of trails at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum's Outdoor Discovery Center, weekends through November. Discovery Quests are four different hiking adventures that challenge hikers to make twelve different nature discoveries on each trail with the help of a guidebook. Quest hikes range from an easy, stroller-friendly trail to a more vigorous hike of nearly two miles. The trails cover a variety of habitats, from wetlands to meadows to forest.
