Hudson Valley Summer Pow-Wow
Celebrate the culture and history of American's first people when the Redhawk Native American Arts Council hosts a Native American Heritage Celebration during the first weekend of August at the Anthony Wayne Recreation Area in Harriman State Park. The pow-wow will include more than 1,000 Native American artists, performers and educators from across the U.S., Canada, South America and the Caribbean. August 7-8, 11am-7pm. All ages. Night Hike
Children learn that the night isn't as scary as it seems at a Summer Family Night Hike, August 8 at the Tenafly Nature Center. Participants play games and use their nocturnal senses on a guided walk. Save A Life
Parents can learn about age-appropriate home-proofing and safety concerns for children at an Infant/Child CPR, Choking and Safety class being held August 19 at Birthing Wisdom.
