La Petite Dent Pediatric Dentist Opens in Nanuet

La Petite Dent, a pediatric dental office, recently opened in Nanuet. The Rockland County pediatric dentist offers First Visit to calm nervous children, as well as special care dentistry for children with special needs.

La Petite Dent, a pediatric dentistry whose mission is to provide a family-centered, safe, and fun environment for children and adolescents, is now open in Nanuet. For children ages 1-18, the practice offers comprehensive dental care services, including First Visit and special care dentistry for children. Patients with special needs can stay with La Petite Dent until they turn 26.

First Visit is a positive, preparation experience for children who are unfamiliar with visiting the dentist office. During the visit, children and parents tour La Petite Dent’s office, are introduced to the dental team, and the children receive a dental exam. Open dialogue is also provided for parents to discuss questions, oral health topics, and any dental findings or recommendations.

La Petite Dent dentists are experienced in special care dentistry, a service provided to help ease patients with special needs through their dental visits. Trained at the Rose F. Kennedy Center in the Bronx, the office aims to make every visit as comfortable as possible for every patient.

“As parents ourselves, we completely understand that it can be scary for both the parent and child,” says Cindy Chay, D.M.D. and partner of La Petite Dent. “[La Petite Dent] recognizes that every patient is different. So having the parents completely involved can help the child feel more comfortable in the office because they know more about their child and can help determine how to approach different topics.”
